Let’s face it, pregnancy isn’t always the easiest, and especially with the holidays coming up we could all use a drink…nonalcoholic, of course! Just because you are pregnant doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a delicious holiday drink like everyone else. We’ve compiled a list of some amazingly tasty mocktails to help you get in the holiday spirit.  

Cranberry Smash Mocktail

¼ cup of fresh cranberries

5 fresh mint leaves

1 lime wedge 

1 teaspoon brown sugar

5 ounces ginger ale

Combine the cranberries, mint, lime, and sugar into a cocktail shaker and muddle using a muddling stick or back of a spoon. Add ice and shake. Place into a rocks glass with ice and add ginger ale.

White Chocolate Peppermint Mocktini

3 ounces white hot chocolate

2 ounces peppermint mocha coffee creamer

White chocolate syrup

Crushed peppermints for garnish

Dip the edge of a martini glass in white chocolate syrup and then into the crushed peppermints to garnish the glass. Mix white hot chocolate and coffee cream in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into glasses.

Holiday Mojito Mocktail with Cranberry and Pomegranate

3 tablespoons sugar

3 tablespoons water

½ cup fresh cranberries

12 sprigs of mint

2 tablespoons lime juice

2 ounces pomegranate juice

1-2 cans of Canada Dry

Combine the sugar, water, and fresh cranberries in a small saucepan and simmer over low heat for five minutes. Set aside and let cool. Add the mint and lime to each glass and muddle together. Add ice. Add in Canada Dry, pomegranate juice and cooled cranberry reduction to each glass. Top with more mint and lime and serve.

Ginger-Cinnamon Apple Cider Mocktail

Ginger-cinnamon simple syrup:

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

2 cinnamon sticks 

1-2 inches of ginger root peeled and thinly sliced

For one Fake-tini:

2 tablespoons of ginger-cinnamon simple syrup

1 cup apple cider

cinnamon sugar for rimming the glass

apple slice or a cinnamon stick to garnish

For the syrup, mix sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, and sliced ginger root in a small saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Let it cool and strain to remove the cinnamon sticks and ginger. For the fake-tini, start by wetting the rim of a martini glass with apple cider and then dip into cinnamon sugar. In a cocktail shaker combine ice, cider, and simple syrup. Shake well and pour into a prepared glass. Add an apple slice and/or a cinnamon stick to garnish.

Sparkling Raspberry Mocktail

12 ounces frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate

3 cups cold water

1 cup frozen raspberries

1 bottle sparkling grape juice

In a small pitcher mix the frozen lemonade with the three cups of water. In ice cube trays combine raspberries and some of the mixed lemonade and freeze. Once the ice cubes are ready add them to each glass and pour about a tablespoon of raspberry lemonade in the bottom of each glass. Top them off with sparkling grape juice and serve.
