What: Moms Talk is a weekly group for new moms with babies up to 6-months-old. When: Thursdays from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM Where: Motherhood Center What you can expect: Connect with other moms and moms-to-be, get support, and learn from each other’s’ experiences. You can share your concerns, questions, joys, challenges, experiences, and practical tips. Discussions will cover everything from pregnancy, body image, sleep deprivation, infant development, breastfeeding, pregnancy and baby blues, relationships, childcare choices, new identity, regaining your sense of self, and much more. In a safe, supportive environment we will explore many of the practical as well as emotional aspects of motherhood.   What: A support group for families (dads too!) who are NICU graduates. When: Once a month. Noon to 1 PM. See beneath for 2019 meeting dates. Where: Motherhood Center What you can expect:

  • Resources available to NICU families. Providing a wide range of resources for parents from “where to find preemie clothes,” to directing to parents to non-profits for specific needs such as bereavement support.
  • Discuss the ongoing medical complications related to prematurity. The medical complications related to prematurity do NOT end at discharge.
  • Doctors appointments, therapy appointments, medical equipment, insurance, and medical bills.
  • Psychosocial support for parents post-NICU. The mental, emotional and physical impact on parents of a preemie or medically fragile child.
  • Tips for dealing with stress and anxiety
