Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriela Gerhart.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Gabriela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I came to the United States from the Czech Republic in my early twenties to work with a Houston family as an Au pair to care for their premature baby as well as their older children. Due to my background in pediatric nursing, I started working with other families in the in the role of a baby nurse/newborn care specialist. Soon after realizing there was a need for American families needing more hands-on support, the idea of the Motherhood Center was formed. At the time, almost two decades ago, there really wasn’t any resources or services for expecting and new parents. When I created the Motherhood Center, often people thought it was a non-profit business, when in fact the concept is for working, professional women who are in need of support as well, if not more, as their lives have been focused on their careers.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriela Gerhart.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Gabriela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
With a passion for childcare, babies, and pregnancy, I began my journey as a pediatric nurse in a hospital in the Czech Republic. After moving to Houston to assist a family with their premature baby, I soon realized the immense need for a center that provided quality education and support for expecting and new mothers and fathers. With the needs and desires of these families in mind, I expanded my services and developed innovative programs to launch Motherhood Center in 2000. read more >

January 12, 2014

HOUSTON, Texas (January 12, 2015) – The Motherhood Center continues to grow its business by offering Sunday hours to support increased demand in pregnancy health and wellness services to expectant moms and new moms.  Commencing on Sunday, January 18, 2015 the Motherhood Center will be open seven days a week.

The Motherhood Center has experienced steady growth based on the strength of the local economy coupled with the growing number of young families relocating to the Houston market. “Our clients not only rely on the Motherhood Center for our classes, but also for the community we have established,” said CEO Gary Gerhart. “Our center is place to meet, connect and be inspired by other moms.
