- Didn’t exercise regularly before pregnancy? Don’t worry! Start gradually and you can build up to a longer workout and more often throughout the week.
- Drink plenty of water or sports beverages with electrolytes to prevent dehydration and overheating.
- If you are not feeling well for whatever reason, skip your exercise regimen for the day.
- Pay attention to what your body is telling you; there is no need to overwork or overstrain your body.

What is Yoga?
Yoga means “union” in Sanskrit and dates back 5,000 years to its homeland of India. Hatha Yoga is the most popular aspect of yoga today. It is tied to the physical rather than the spiritual by focusing on poses/postures (asanas), cleansing techniques (shodhana) and breath control (pranayama). Unlike popular exercise fads of the past, such as aerobics and tae-bo, yoga is akin to a calming mental tonic while at the same time improving the strength and flexibility of the body. |
