Prenatal Yoga- Regular exercise builds bones and muscles, gives you energy, and keeps you healthy. It is just
as important when you are pregnant. Your pregnancy, one of the most profound and transformational experiences
of your life, is the time to take very special care of your baby and yourself. The Prenatal Yoga classes are conducted
in a calm, peaceful environment and will strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles needed for child bearing.
Practicing yoga during pregnancy can help you to become more sensitive to you body and your baby’s ever
changing needs. Yoga can also alleviate many of the common discomforts of pregnancy.
Mommy & Me – These classes provide an opportunity for you to regain strength and flexibility, to bond with your baby, and to connect with other mom or dads. The class begins with a series of gentle warm-ups and yoga postures designed specifically for a new mom. Mommy & Me Yoga focuses on
strengthening the entire body to help you face the physical challenges of life with a new baby. The benefits of
proper breathing, which calms the nervous system and promotes deep relaxation, are emphasized in every class.
The class is free flowing and spirited. You may involve your baby in the movements or place your baby on a
blanket next to your exercise mat. You are encouraged to take a break at any time to nurture or feed your baby.
Babies are encouraged to express themselves in their own way during class and there are no expectations placed
on the way a baby should behave. The class ends with gentle baby yoga and massage.
Mommy & Me is suitable for all levels. You may start attending class when your baby is 4 weeks. If you have had
a cesarean delivery, it's best to wait until you receive permission from your doctor to begin exercising. Babies
are welcome to attend until they are crawling very fast! Dads are welcome!
Mom and Toddler Fitness - Toddlers are wonderfully playful and curious! This phase of development is so much fun to experience with your child, but it can be extremely demanding for parents as toddlers are “on the go” most of the time. Mom and Toddler Fitness will help you prepare for some of the challenges by allowing you to exercise in a safe environment with an experienced instructor. The class comprises a series of exercises designed to build strength and flexibility while focusing on breathing. The toddlers are encouraged to participate, but it is not expected. Toys are provided if your child would rather play and explore. All fitness levels are welcome. Bring your toddler from walking to crawling age to join in the fun!
Core Yoga – A mixed level class, Core Yoga is great for those looking to get in shape (or back in shape) and
find steadiness and serenity to counter stress and tension. A moderately-paced, Ashtanga-based, Hatha yoga
class designed to build core strength, flexibility, and a calm nervous system, with continued emphasis on breathing
and healthy alignment of the body and mind. Beginners are welcome!

Babysitting, at a charge of $10 per child, is provided for select classes, but please call if you need childcare! There is always a possibility of availability.
