Mimi Brian-Vance - Communication Educator

Mimi Brian-VanceMimi Brian Vance is bringing sign language to life at The Motherhood Center. Mimi was a U.S. Diplomat for nearly a decade, working in U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas, and relying on her adept foreign language skills on a daily basis. She speaks French and Spanish fluently, and a smattering of other languages.

Her broad understanding of the power and importance of language and communication – in their many forms – serves her well in the classroom and in the production of Words by the Handful materials and training classes. She brings rich expertise as a life-long language specialist, passionate mother of two and seasoned diplomat to an infant and toddler format.

Mimi's enthusiastic and playful nature is a favorite with children of all ages. She has the ability to connect to them on their own level, and children respond exceptionally well to her. Her classes at The Motherhood Center are relaxed and informal, keeping the needs of babies and moms at the forefront. This environment reduces stress on all, and creates an optimum learning environment.

Mimi is the author of a series of children's books that teaches signs through the highly beneficial activity of reading aloud.
