Please join us for our Montessori Infant-Parent Program. A small group of parents and infants will come together as a community once or twice a week in a special Montessori prepared environment along with a Montessori Guide. The children explore an engaging environment designed specifically for their developmental needs, while parents practice supported, mindful observation and interaction. The infant-oriented prepared environment allows the child to have a wide range of social and physical experiences in an environment designed to stimulate their emerging independence, encouraging babies to become attentive, active, exploring individuals.
The Guide engages parents in conversations related to different developmental topics, led by the needs of each child and family. Topics of interest include feeding and weaning, self-care and toileting, independence and limits, sleeping issues, cognitive and social development, and language and movement development. The safe and supportive community allows parents to share challenges and insights, celebrations and frustrations.
Through collaborative relationships with the Montessori Guide and other Montessori parents, families are presented with information related to bringing Montessori ideas to the home. During this precious and brief period of infancy, your baby experiences intense physical and psychological growth as he or she begins to move in independence and explore his or her world. Skillful and supported parenting at this dynamic time can contribute greatly to your child’s development. Through discussions and observations, we will be better able to understand each individual child’s needs at this age. Join us as we work together to assist and guide the children along their unique paths of development and independence.

Testimonials
"Sarah Moudry is amazing. She spent time with us during each class discussing a topic for the week, allowing us a lot of opportunity to ask questions. She encouraged an open dialogue and as a result I have learned much and been inspired as a parent to try techniques I wouldn't have necessarily come across on my own. I can't say enough about her. Sarah's amazing. Anyone who gets her as an instructor is lucky." - C.Y. (Birth to Crawling)
"My child absolutely loved the materials, and I liked how Sarah brought in new materials each week based on the children's interests and abilities. Sarah created the perfect mix of instruction, support group, and open activity. I learned a lot from each topic Sarah introduced, but also got a lot out of hearing the other mother's experiences and just watching my child and the other children move around and explore the room." - A.W. (Crawling to Walking)
