The Motherhood Center

Expecting and New Mom’s Talk

As a guest of the Motherhood Center, you are invited to our weekly Mom’s Talk Group which will give you the opportunity to connect with other moms and moms-to be, get support and learn from one another’s experiences. You can share your concerns, questions, joys, challenges, experiences and practical tips. Discussions will cover everything from pregnancy, body image, sleep deprivation, infant development, breastfeeding, pregnancy and baby blues, relationships, childcare choices, new identity, regaining your sense of self, and much more. In a safe, supportive environment we will explore many of the practical as well as emotional aspects of motherhood. Feel free to bring your baby, a brown bag lunch, your friends. There is no fee or pre-registration for this group, we just want you to come and create new relationships, friends, playgroup buddies, or just share with us the everyday frustrations or overwhelming joys of motherhood. Mom's Talk is FREE!

Facilitator: Magdalena Ondrasova, MSW
Day: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Time: 11:30am - 12:30pm

Please note: Some talks are canceled on our Observed Holidays. Please check our Calendar.

New Mom's Testimonial

"The new moms support group at The Motherhood Center has been an amazing experience for which I am truly grateful. It is a place to meet and talk with other women about the ups and downs of new motherhood. We talk about everything - birth stories, sleep habits, strollers, feeding, husbands, in-laws, shopping and beyond. I have developed friendships that I will treasure for years to come. The best part is that no matter what each mom’s individual background is we all share the same exciting, and sometimes daunting, common bond of motherhood. Thank you for providing this experience." – Rainy Gibbs

"I have been enjoying going to these to discuss Harry's development and get feedback from yourself and others on different techniques I could use to help raise a happy baby. It was important to me to have this as I had just moved across from Australia and was missing the family network that I had at home." - Anonymous
