Child Development Classes

Ballet - This class is a wonderful introduction to ballet. Your child will learn basic ballet positions of the feet, hands and body as well as creative dance techniques and activities to enhance coordination, balance, and motor skills. Ages 3 1/2-5yrs
Pre-Dance - This beginners dance class is for children 18 months- 2 years old. The class focuses mainly on the use of basic movement skills and fundamental use of the body. Balance and coordination are the main concepts of the class. Activities will include tap, ballet, and gym.
Prelude Music - These wonderful Infant and Family Classes feature the musical talent of Ana Trevino Godfrey. Ana is trained in opera and her great enthusiasm and genuine love of music and people have been shared with adults and children alike. Give your child an enriching early musical experience. Benefits include language development, ear training, music appreciation, foreign language skills and creativity. Current brain development research proves that early music experience helps children learn faster and focus better. Singing to children is heart warming and developmentally crucial. We think adults benefit just as much as their children in these classes! Ages Newborn to 6 years.
NEW! Baby Sign Language - Designed for hearing babies 6 months to 3 years, this class introduces signs for the first key words your child needs. Created and taught by Mimi Vance, former diplomat and lifelong language specialist. There are many benefits to signing with your child, including improved language and vocabulary development, multilingual capacity, cognitive development, reading readiness and assistance in tempering the 'terrible twos'.
Kid's Yoga - A fun, creative approach to yoga that can be very helpful for children whose bodies are still developing. The use of animated poses and basic stretching exercises promote strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques teach kids how to focus, relax and develop self-control. Kids will improve concentration and focus, stimulate their imagination and help to release energy in a fun, safe environment. The Kids Yoga program also promotes inner-strength, confidence and self-esteem; a feeling of well-being and respect for others; and, love for one's self, inside and out. This class is great for high energy children with busy schedules. For Ages 3-7 years
Mom & Baby Yoga- These classes provide an opportunity for you to regain strength and flexibility, to bond with your baby, and to connect with other moms or dads. The class begins with a series of gentle warm-ups and yoga postures designed specifically for new moms. Mommy & Baby Yoga focuses on strengthening the entire body to help you face the physical challenges of life with a new baby. Babies are welcome to cry, sleep or move around!
Mom’s Yoga (with cruisers to walkers) - This phase of development is so much fun to experience with your child, but it can be extremely demanding for parents as toddlers are “on the go” most of the time. This class will help you prepare for some of the challenges by allowing you to exercise in a safe environment with an experienced instructor. The class comprises a series of exercises designed to build strength & flexibility while focusing on breathing.
